Its more than 1,200 shops, two department stores and hundreds of food and drink outlets are spread over more than 1 million square meters (an area equivalent to 200 football fields).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4. DEIRA<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Before oil was discovered, Dubai extended on both sides of the creek, a natural estuary that enters the city for about 10 kilometers and separates the Deira and Bur Dubai neighborhoods, its oldest neighborhoods, which will remind you of the origins of this city and its commercial past. Among the most outstanding places to visit in Dubai and that are in the Deira area, are the popular perfume, spice and gold souks, the latter famous for its windows full of gold items such as the one shown by the ring biggest in the world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, it has a 7-star rating and is therefore also the most luxurious. It is located on its own artificial island, to visit its interior with a spectacular hall and full of luxurious shops, you have to be staying, paying 1500 euros per night, or have a reservation at one of its restaurants or bars and in this case, the most cheap is to book at the Skyview Bar, located 200 meters high, where a minimum consumption of about 70 euros is required.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This neighborhood was built at the end of the 19th century and Persian merchants who traded in pearls and fabrics lived there. They had money and moved to Dubai because there were no taxes and they had access to Dubai Creek, the hub of commerce in the area. The Arabic-style plaster and coral buildings are perfectly preserved and it is a pleasure to walk through its narrow streets. You can enter most of the houses, which today are home to ceramic and furniture galleries. There are also some small museums dedicated to the country's coins, for example, and the XVA Gallery for contemporary art.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

7. JUMERIRAH MOSQUE<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Jumeirah Mosque is the only one in the city that accepts non-Muslim visitors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
This religious building is built of white stone, with twin minarets rising on either side of the central dome, and the only way to get to know it is by taking a guided interior tour. Keep in mind that it is not possible to access in shorts and women must cover their hair with a scarf.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
In addition to its beautiful architecture, this mosque offers a good opportunity to learn about Muslim religion and customs during the hour and a half that the visit lasts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
