Traveling at this time of year usually means a short break (3-5 days depending on the bank holidays) and distance (the most popular destinations at this time is usually European capitals). We want to remind the rules of the European Union concerning hand luggage so you do not have to leave anything behind.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Baggage restrictions\" height=\"233\" src=\"https:\/\/eurochange.es\/uploads\/blog\/2016\/MAR_2016\/equipaje-bagagge.jpg\" width=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Liquids<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To carry <strong>liquids<\/strong>, <strong>aerosols<\/strong> or <strong>gels<\/strong> in hand luggage you must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each container is to have no more than 100ml<\/li>\n<li>All containersmust fit in an airtight bag and fit comfortably<\/li>\n<li>Each passenger may carry a single bag and the total content of the containers can not exceed 1000ml \/ 1L.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When passing through Baggage control you will have to take out the bag with liquids and place it on a tray.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electronic and metal appliances<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will also have to take out the suitcase any electronic devices such as <strong>phones<\/strong>, <strong>tablets<\/strong> or <strong>laptops<\/strong>. <strong>Coats<\/strong> or anything with <strong>metal accessories<\/strong> like jackets, scarves, belts, watches or pursees also have to be put separately. Depending on the airport you may also have to take off your boots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prohibited &iacute;tems<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Real <strong>firearms<\/strong> (also parts) or reproductions and even toys that might be mistaken for real weapons. <strong>Airguns<\/strong>, crossbows, slings, harpoons, tasers, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sharp objects<\/strong> such as <strong>knives<\/strong> (also razor if not safety or disposable), knives or <strong>scissors<\/strong> more than 6 cm, swords, knives, cutters, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tools<\/strong> and other <strong>blunt objects<\/strong> as levers, wrenches, hammers, baseball bats, golf clubs, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flammable<\/strong> or <strong>explosive<\/strong> substances such as explosives, gas, liquid fuels, solvents, alcohol above 70%, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chemical<\/strong> or <strong>toxic<\/strong> substances whether chemical or biological origin such as acids, poisons, bacterial cultures, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Checked baggage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you need to carry more liquids than permitted or any of the prohibited items for hand luggage you can bring them in a checked suitcase.
