{"id":5562,"date":"2018-02-12T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-12T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurochange.es\/blog\/2018\/02\/12\/withdrawal-of-the-10-pound-paper-note\/"},"modified":"2023-07-25T14:37:10","modified_gmt":"2023-07-25T12:37:10","slug":"withdrawal-of-the-10-pound-paper-note","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurochange.es\/blog\/en\/currency\/withdrawal-of-the-10-pound-paper-note\/","title":{"rendered":"Withdrawal of the 10 Pound paper note"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks ago we announced the arrival of the <a href=\"https:\/\/eurochange.es\/en\/blog\/currency\/new-10-pound-polymer-banknote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>new 10 Pound polymer note<\/strong><\/a> and today the time has come for the withdrawal of its predecessor: the 10 Pound paper note.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Current 10 Pound notes\" height=\"201\" src=\"https:\/\/eurochange.es\/uploads\/blog\/2018\/02\/Libras.jpg\" width=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Official Withdrawal March 1st<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At <a href=\"https:\/\/eurochange.es\/en\/currency-exchange-offices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">our exchange offices<\/a> we can&rsquo;t accept 10 Pound paper notes since last Thursday, February 8th. However, the official withdrawal in the United Kingdom will be next March 1st.<\/p>\n<p>So these notes can still be used in the United Kingdom during the month of February.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What happens next?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If after March 1st you still have 10 Pound notes in paper, you can only make the change in the Bank of England, where
