This\nhappened before many times in history and with many currencies but maybe this\ncase is different. Usually, one note replaces the old one but, on this case, let\nus start telling you that as right now, the Bank of England will only issue the\nnew version featuring King Charles III to replace damaged or really old notes.\nSo is not like they are replacing every note they have, just those that need to\nbe reprinted. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Also, both\ncurrencies are legal tender so they will coexist until the old notes go out of\ncirculation, for that even is not even a date set, so won\u2019t be a problem for a\nwhile.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, both polymer notes have the same value to pay or to be exchanged. For many months the UK is being preparing for this event. Most ATM machines already have new updates to be able to handle both versions. Companies have been updating their systems in order to detect and accept this new version on automatic machines as could be vending machines.
