Summer is the time of travel par excellence: flights by plane, car journeys, hotels, apartments, tourist attractions … It may seem too frantic and even a nightmare for many people. But there are also ways to travel and know more destinations at your leisure.

The Interrail ticket is a unique ticket valid for traveling by train in different European countries with the option of selecting a single country or several countries. You have many options to combine it with limited or unlimited travel within a period of time.
Touring Europe in Interrail is the backpacker's dream of many young people, but it is also a good option if you have a couple of weeks and want to know several destinations within the same country.
It is a very comfortable option, since you buy the ticket in advance, a single ticket is valid for your entire trip and allows you to travel on the days you want, being able to stay more or less time in one place.

If you have more than a couple of weeks of holidays, you can embark on the adventure of the Trans-Siberian Railway, the railway network that connects Moscow (in Western Russia) with Vladivostok or Vanino (in Eastern Russia) or Beijing (in China).
Unlike the Interrail, in the Trans-Siberian you won’t have a single ticket for the entire journey, but you will have to buy the tickets with the stops you want to make. Tickets can be purchased as you go along, you can buy them in advance on the Russian railway website or you can buy them through an agency or with an organized trip.
If you decide to buy the tickets by your own, keep in mind that depending on the line, the departure time and the time of year, you may have to buy them in advance. And if it gives you more confidence to take it organized, there is a large number of travel agencies that take care of everything so that you only have to enjoy the journey.

Although Route 69 is best known among the motorbikers of the world, with the old Route 66 you will be able to cross (almost completely) the United States. This route links Chicago (Illinois) with Los Angeles (California) through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. The new interstate highways have replaced the old route in some sections, but you can still follow their route without hurry, enjoying the scenery, roadside motels and diners, typical roadside restaurants.

And if Route 66 falls short or you prefer to cross the American continent from north to south (or from south to north) then you have the option of the Pan-American Highway. With the official route and the unofficial sections, you will have more than 45,000 kilometers to travel: from Prudhoe Bay (Alaska) to Ushuaia (Argentina).
During his trip it crosses Canada, the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina. There is only a part of the route that is not connected or can be crossed by car, the Darien Gap. This jungle region (of the densest in the world) extends to southern Panama and northern Colombia and has only been crossed by car on rare occasions.
But don’t get discouraged, there are several ways to get from Panama to Colombia (or vice versa) with a ferry to continue with the route.
