Withdrawal of the 100 and 200 NOK banknotes

100 and 200 Norwegian Kroner notes to be withdrawn

Last year the Bank of Norway put into circulation new 100 and 200 Norwegian Kroner notes belonging to its new series of tickets, dedicated to the life of the sea and their experience and technological development regarding navigation.

They are the first two notes issued in this new series that will end with the issuance of the 1,000 Norwegian Kroner note at the end of 2019.

One year after the introduction of the new banknotes, the time has come for the withdrawal of the old ones. The official date set for the withdrawal of the old 100 and 200 Norwegian Kroner notes is May 30, 2018. However, at Eurochange we have a different date. The maximum date to exchange these notes with us is May 25, 2018.

If you have any of these notes in your possession, go to your nearest Eurochange exchange office to change it before this date, since, after this day, we will not be able to make the exchange.

What happens if I have old 100 and 200 Norwegian Crowns and don’t change them on time?

In Eurochange we will no longer be able to accept these tickets after May 25, 2018. The only way to change them from that moment will be in the national bank of the country, in this case, the Bank of Norway.
