Started the issue of the new 10 Australian Dollar
As we told you a year ago, the Reserve Bank of Australia is renewing the Australian Dollar banknotes. In 2016 they started with the new 5 Australian Dollars note and this year the new 10 Australian Dollars note has been issued.

Design
This new note keeps the characters of the previous note in the design: the australian writer Dame Mary Gilmore and the also writer AB "Banjo" Paterson. The images that accompany the portraits, a cabin and a rider, are representative of the way of life in Australia at the time when the authors wrote their works.
Security features
The security features of the new 10 Australian Dollar note are similar to those of the 5 Dollar one:
- Transparent window that crosses the bill from top to bottom.
- Iridescent paint patch.
- Hologram that changes colour.
- Painting in relief.
- Microprinting.
In addition, just like the 5 Dollar note, the 10 Dollar one incorporates a relief to help the vision-impaired to recognize it.
It is expected that by the end of 2018, the issuance of the new 50 Dollars banknotes will begin. In the following years, the other denominations will be issued.
