The hutongs are alleyways that make up the Old Beijing, on these streets you can find typical Chinese homes. These are homes in which rooms are distributed around an inner courtyard. Some of these homes were built centuries ago and some of them are disappearing being replaced by modern buildings. You can enjoy a stroll through the hutongs of Shichahai, Quianmen or Jinsitao.

The Great Wall of China was built and rebuilt over the centuries B.C. V and XVI A.D. to protect the country from enemy attacks. Today only 30% of the construction is retained. One of the most popular pieces of the Great Wall is the closest to Beijing. It is about 90km and there are companies that organize trips to visit, just make sure before the tour starts that it does not include visits to factories or shops as it is very common to include this in the tour.
