Visit to the Historic Center of Zaragoza and where to exchange currency

Tour and history of the Historic Center of Zaragoza and currency exchange

Zaragoza has ceased to be a passing city, to become a city visited and admired by travelers and tourists, who are surprised to discover a place with multiple attractions of art, gastronomy, history and a lot of life.

The Historic Quarter or "Old Town", as it is popularly known, is not only the network of streets near the Basilica del Pilar, but also includes the urban space delimited by the medieval fence, and which is currently surrounded by the Coso street. The city had twelve gates that adorned the city with its walls. Today only the door of Carmen remains.

The following neighborhoods are housed inside: El Gancho, San Miguel, Tenerías and La Magdalena.

The Decumano was a main road in Roman times and is the origin of Don Jaime I Street. In the 19th century, Alfonso Street was built to give access to El Pilar.

Interculturality is a characteristic of the population that resides in the Old Town.

Walking through the streets of the historic center is to travel back in time to other times and discover that in many corners time seems to have stopped. We enter small squares and narrow streets that show us the essence of Zaragoza: El Pilar, Goya, the Roman past and the friendliness of its people.

And in the narrowness of its streets we also find small shops with their particular charm, restaurants and tapas bars where we can taste the lamb, products from the garden or a good glass of wine.

You can not stop walking these streets to discover in its stones the traces of the civilizations that have occupied it: Roman, Muslim, Jewish or Christian. And listen to its people, who will tell you beautiful memories like the one from the New Tower. A tower located in the Plaza de San Felipe, 80 meters high and which was used to notify the newly created Fire Department of the neighborhood in which a fire was taking place due to the number of chimes:

A chime, when it happened in the Seo neighborhood

Four chimes, if it was in the neighborhood of San Miguel

Eleven chimes indicated that the fire was located in Santa Engracia.

In 1883 the tower was destroyed due to the risk of falling.

How to save money in London?

We tell you the best tricks that most tourists do not know to save on your

If you are planning a trip to London and you are looking for tips to save during your stay, in this article we tell you the best tricks that most tourists do not know and that aim to lower costs on their London holidays.

According to statistics, London is one of the most expensive destinations in Europe. The most expensive thing about London is transport, food and shopping.

1. SAVE MONEY ON TRANSPORTATION

To save on transportation for the transfer from the airport to the city you have to buy the ticket well in advance. A normal train ticket from Stansed to London that is purchased in advance saves more than 65% and the same happens from other airports.

The subway is another transport in which you can save money, instead of buying a single ticket, it is best to get the Oyster Card, with which the trips will cost you less.

Unless you have to move from one end of the city to another we recommend that instead of the metro you use the bus, if you have to do little travel it will be cheaper and it will take less time to reach your destination.

2. EATING CHEAP IN LONDON

In London there are many supermarkets such as Asda, Tesco or Sansbury that are extremely cheap and where you can find a wide variety of products at low prices. In these supermarkets you will find the "Meal Deal", they consist of a sadwich, a drink and a snack or dessert to choose from and all this at a price of between 3 and 4 pounds. These "Meal Deal" are ideal for food.

If, on the other hand, you prefer to go out to lunch or dinner at restaurants and you are going to drink water, we recommend you to order the "Tap water", basically it consists of tap water and they will serve it with lemon slices and of course it is free.

One way to eat rich and cheap is to eat at the flea markets. Among the most recommended markets for cheap dining are Brixton, Brick Lane and Broadway Market.

3. SAVE WHEN YOU GO SHOPPING

If you travel to London you will surely be wanting to go shopping, here you can also save money and we tell you how to do it. First of all you must be attentive to the sales and discounts. Unlike here, which we have twice a year, in London there are also mid-season sales and sometimes you can find real bargains. We recommend you not to use the main shopping streets such as Oxford Street or Canarby Street to do your shopping as they are the most expensive areas. We recommend that you visit East End, in this shopping area you will find the same products but at half price. There are also stores called "Charity Shops" that are charity shops where you will find all kinds of clothes and second-hand objects, there are garments for 1, 2 or 3 pounds.

Finally, as always, we recommend that before traveling you take the currency from here, that is, that you change your euros to pounds in EUROCHANGE enter our website and make the reservation for the collection in store or come to any store with currency sales service of our network and take your pounds at the best price and without surprises. And for changes over 750 euros we offer you the repurchase service. Call us at the Customer Service Center 615403877 and our operators will be happy to answer any questions.

5 best places to visit Madrid

If you are going to visit Madrid, write down this list with the five most s

As well as being a great European city, Madrid has its fair share of hustle and bustle, but that doesn't mean it skimps on giving visitors an authentic Spanish experience. The Prado Museum features works by some of Spain's most famous artists, including Velázquez and Goya. The Royal Palace is open to the public and the El Rastro market or the luxury shops of Salamanca offer hours of shopping. But if you're exhausted after a long day of sightseeing, you might want to rest in an outdoor cafe, especially the ones lining the Plaza Mayor. Once your energy is restored, enjoy trying some selected specialties in a tapas bar before heading to the nightclub. Remember that you can money exchange at our Eurochange Madrid exchange house in Plaza de San Miguel.

Plaza Mayor

This square, located in the heart of Madrid, is more a must-experience attraction than a must-see one. Surrounded by cafes and bars, Plaza Mayor practically begs passersby to take a seat, order a coffee or glass of wine (depending on the time of day) and people-watch. Not only do throngs of tourists pass through, but multiple street performers plant their feet here to entertain. The square starts getting busy around 2 p.m. and will grow increasingly busy as night falls. If you find yourself in Madrid during the holidays, locals recommend visiting the holiday markets held in the plaza.

El Retiro Park (Parque del Buen Retiro)

To the east of central Madrid, Parque del Buen Retiro (El Retiro Park) can be translated as "Park of the Pleasant Retreat," and that's what it is – a sprawling swath of lush greenery filled with formal gardens, lakes, cafes, playgrounds and more. This 300-some-acre park previously housed Felipe IV's palace and gardens, and didn't become open to the public until the late 19th century.

Prado Museum (Museo Nacional del Prado)

One of Madrid's most famous museums, the elegant Museo Nacional del Prado is consistently touted by travelers as a must-see. Opened in 1819 at the encouragement of Queen Maria Isabel de Braganza (King Ferdinand VII's wife), the museum contains 8,600 paintings and more than 700 sculptures, featuring Spanish, Italian and Flemish styles of art. Among the most famous works featured include Velazquez's "Las Meninas," Goya's "The Third of May 1808," El Greco's "Adoration of the Shepherds." Travelers note that sometimes it can be difficult to get close to these famous paintings, recommending that visitors come early or late for the best chance of seeing these works without hordes of others.

Gateway of the Sun (Puerta del Sol)

The true center of Madrid – kilometer zero – Puerta del Sol fills with spurting fountains, shops, restaurants and lots of people. If you're looking for a place to rest your feet after a long day of touring, or a quiet place to stay, Sol is not the place. The area is always crowded, especially at night when the city comes alive with people passing through the square looking to party at some of Madrid's hottest bars and nightclubs (many of which are situated in Sol). However, it is the best place to taste Madrid's life and vibrancy, so even if you're going out to dinner, don't pass up the opportunity to walk through and take in the area.

Mercado San Miguel

Mercado de San Miguel, a market built of beautifully ornate glass and cast iron, is a popular stop for tourists to Madrid, especially since it is located right outside of Plaza Mayor. Here, visitors can purchase some wine, grab a cocktail, juice or coffee, snack on a variety of ready-to-eat tapas, or pick up some ingredients for lunch or dinner from the fruit, seafood and meat stalls.
Here you can find our Eurochange Madrid office, a currency exchange house, in the same Market Square, where you can buy or sell your currencies, to be able to enjoy the rich gastronomy offered by the variety of food.

Eleven villages (barangays) participate in it. There is a great rivalry to see who builds the best lantern. At first the lanterns were small and were made with hapon paper (Japanese paper) and a lighted candle. Thailand is considered one of the most popular hot destinations to go to in December. Apart from being impressed by the capital Bangkok, Kanchanaburi spots, and Koh Tao beaches are also famous for snorkelling. Thailand has great nature, it is surrounded by beaches and huge marine life. If you want to avoid the tourist overcrowding, we recommend the islands of Koh Kood, Koh Mak and Koh Chang. The best plan to spend December in Thailand is to make a tour of its best beaches and islands:
  • Phuket, Krabi, Ko Lanta, Ko Phi Phi and Koh Lipe, located on the west coast.
  • Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Koh Tao, located in the southern Gulf.
  • Ko Samet, Ko Chang and Ko Kut in the east.

Bali offers a tropical monsoon climate, where temperatures are warm throughout the year. It is always recommended to avoid the Monsoon season that begins in October and ends in April. Although it is true that Bali has a very mild monsoon. December is one of the months with the least rainfall. Being an island, Bali is surrounded by sea, there are thousands of beaches and hidden coves everywhere, these are the best:
  • Jimbaran Beach, located south of the airport.
  • Kuta Beach, located in the south of the island on the Butik peninsula, known as the party beach.
  • Legian is a well-known neighboring beach from Kuta and much quieter.
  • Sanur, the beach for snorkeling and diving. Located in the south of the island.

Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, highly recommended for a weekend break or a long weekend. It has countless monuments, historical places and picturesque corners to fall in love with in a few days. Prague is known as the city of 100 towers.

There is no better way to start discovering Prague than through its historic center. For this I recommend you take a free tour in which they will tell you a little more about the history of the city and some curiosities.

Prague's Old Town Square is the epitome of beauty, surrounded by centuries-old and historic buildings.

The Astronomical Clock is located on the tower of the old town hall. This famous clock is the most famous place in Prague. It was built in 1410 and is the most famous medieval clock in the world. Guided tours of the town hall can be made, but the most interesting thing is the tower itself, from where you have fabulous views of the city.

Gunpowder Tower, this 65 m high tower is one of the few remaining from Prague's defensive system. It was built during the 15th century. Its name is due to the fact that at the end of the 18th century it began to be used as a warehouse for gunpowder.

Wenceslas Square, it is one of the most important squares and an authentic shopping area for the main fashion brands, you can take advantage of these dates when the Christmas market is set up and it looks spectacular.

The Charles Bridge is the most beautiful and oldest bridge in Prague and was built between 1357 and 1402. It owes its name to the king who ordered it to be built, Charles IV. Along its 500 m both sides of the bridge are adorned with 30 statues and guarded by 3 elegant towers.

The John Lenon Wall, this curious place is a symbol of freedom of expression. After the death of John Lennon in 1980 a mural with his image appeared on the wall and little by little it was filled with pacifist and vindictive messages.
