Information about the new banknotes of Swiss Franc
As we already told you in a previous post, the Swiss Franc is the official currency of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Nowadays the currency is in a process of renewal with the arrival of the ninth series of Swiss Francs.
Today we give you more information about this new series and the tickets that are already in circulation.
Ninth series of Swiss Francs
In this new series, the design changes with respect to the previous one, where relevant characters of the country appeared. In the new series the motif of the designs is "The many facets of Switzerland" and they are represented with various motifs. A baton and the slots of the planet express the organizational capacity of the country. A prism and the light that radiates express their creativity. A dandelion and the winds express the wealth of experiences that the country offers. Water expresses its humanitarian tradition. The matter expresses his scientific abilities. The language expresses their communication skills.
At the moment three notes of the new series are in circulation, of 10, 20 and 50 Francs, that coexist with the previous series. In the next years the 100, 200 and 1,000 Franc notes will be issued.
